If you are dreaming of an intimate wedding surrounded by orchards, vineyards and Okanagan Lake views, a Penticton elopement offers a beautiful alternative to a large traditional wedding.

Located along scenic Naramata Road in Penticton, BC, N1 Estate Family Farm specializes in intimate Okanagan elopements designed for couples who want a meaningful celebration without the stress of planning a large wedding.

Our elopements are not necessarily about running away to get married with just the two of you. They are small, thoughtfully planned celebrations where you can exchange vows, take beautiful photographs, cut your wedding cake, raise a glass of champagne and spend time with the people closest to you.

What Is an Elopement at N1 Estate?

At N1 Estate, an elopement is an intimate three-hour wedding experience designed for the couple and a small group of their closest family and friends. Our Elopement Collection includes up to 10 attendees, including the couple, with the option to add guests up to a maximum of 20 attendees.

The celebration begins with your wedding ceremony and continues with a relaxed cocktail-style experience in The Garden, giving you time for photography, cake, champagne and time together with your guests. It gives couples many of the meaningful moments of a traditional wedding day, simply on a smaller and more relaxed scale.

Why Choose Penticton for an Elopement?

Penticton is located in the heart of British Columbia's Okanagan Valley and is surrounded by some of the scenery the region is best known for — vineyards, orchards, mountains and Okanagan Lake. N1 Estate sits along Naramata Road on a private family farm surrounded by cherry and apple orchards, neighbouring vineyards and panoramic lake views.

For couples travelling to the Okanagan, Penticton also makes it possible to turn an elopement into a destination experience. You and your guests can spend time exploring local wineries, restaurants, beaches and the Naramata Bench before or after the wedding. Rather than travelling somewhere simply for the ceremony, your elopement can become part of a few memorable days together in the Okanagan.

How Many Guests Can Attend a Penticton Elopement at N1 Estate?

Our Elopement Collection includes up to 10 attendees, including the couple. For couples who would like to celebrate with a slightly larger group, additional guests can be added up to a maximum of 20 attendees. This size allows you to include parents, children, siblings or a few close friends while maintaining the relaxed atmosphere of an elopement.

If you are planning a larger celebration with up to 28 attendees and would like a sit-down dinner and longer reception, our Micro-Wedding Package may be a better fit.

What Is Included in an N1 Estate Elopement?

Our all-inclusive Elopement Collection is designed to take care of many of the details couples would otherwise need to arrange separately. Current inclusions include three hours of private venue access, a licensed wedding officiant, ceremony setup and seating, wedding planning and day-of coordination, an on-site host, professional photography, a personalized wedding cake, champagne tower setup, styled bar area and glassware, lounge seating, lawn games, décor and florals. A fresh bouquet created with local and seasonal flowers is also included.

Optional enhancements allow couples to personalize the experience further, including additional guests, additional venue time, upgraded florals, content creation and a private Orchard First Look.

Because wedding packages can evolve, we always recommend viewing our current Elopement Package for the latest pricing, inclusions and available enhancements.

What Does a Three-Hour Elopement Look Like?

Three hours can be plenty of time for an intimate wedding when the day is intentionally planned around a smaller guest count. Your guests arrive at N1 Estate and gather in The Garden before your ceremony. Music and the ceremony setup are already prepared, and your officiant guides you through your personalized ceremony.

After saying “I do,” there is time to celebrate with your guests while your photographer captures family photographs and portraits around the property. Your celebration then continues with champagne, cake, lounge seating and lawn games in the garden. Because everything takes place on one private property, you do not lose valuable time moving between separate ceremony, photography and reception locations.

Wedding Photography Around the Farm

One of the advantages of getting married on a working Okanagan farm is the variety of natural settings available for photographs. N1 Estate includes The Garden, cherry and apple orchards, open fields and panoramic views toward Okanagan Lake and the surrounding landscape. Professional photography is included with our Elopement Package, allowing your ceremony, portraits and celebration to be documented without needing to coordinate a photographer separately.

Couples who want additional private photography time before guests arrive can also add our Orchard First Look experience. This gives you 30 minutes of private access to the orchard before your elopement begins. It can be used for your first look, wedding portraits or even an exchange of private vows before the ceremony.

Can We Personalize Our Elopement?

Yes. Although our Elopement Package is designed to simplify wedding planning, there are still opportunities to make the celebration feel like your own. Couples can select a preferred colour palette, choose their cake flavour and personalize elements of their ceremony. Optional enhancements can also be added depending on the experience you want to create.

Some couples want the simplicity of the standard collection, while others choose to add fresh floral upgrades, extra photography time, an Orchard First Look or other details that are important to them. The goal is to give you enough choice to make the wedding personal without requiring you to plan every element from the beginning.

Can We Serve Alcohol at Our Elopement?

Yes, alcohol can be served at weddings at N1 Estate, provided the appropriate requirements are met. Couples may bring their own wine and champagne. A Special Event Permit is required when alcohol is being served. A professional bartender is not required if alcohol service is limited to champagne for the champagne tower and wine. If you would like to serve additional alcoholic beverages, a professional bartender is required.

Where Do Guests Stay for a Penticton Elopement?

Couples travelling to Penticton have a variety of accommodation options, including hotels, resorts, vacation rentals and boutique stays throughout Penticton and the Naramata Bench. For destination elopements, we recommend considering where your guests will stay and how they will travel to and from the venue early in the planning process. On-site parking at N1 Estate is limited to three guest vehicles, so taxis or a private shuttle can be a convenient option for groups travelling together.

Can We Plan an Okanagan Elopement From Out of Town?

Yes! Many couples considering a Penticton elopement are planning from Vancouver, elsewhere in British Columbia, Alberta or even farther away. This is one of the reasons an all-inclusive elopement can be particularly helpful for a destination wedding. Instead of finding and coordinating a separate venue, officiant, photographer, ceremony rentals, décor and cake, many of those details are already included and coordinated through N1 Estate. Planning and day-of coordination are also part of the Elopement Collection, allowing much of the wedding to be organized before you arrive in Penticton.

When Are Elopements Available at N1 Estate?

Our regular elopement season runs from June through September. Elopements are normally available Monday through Thursday, with two standard time options: 11:00 AM–2:00 PM or 4:00 PM–7:00 PM.

Weekend dates may also be available as an upgrade. Availability changes throughout the season, so couples with a particular date in mind are encouraged to inquire early.

Is a Penticton Elopement Right for You?

An elopement may be a great fit if you want the meaningful parts of a wedding without hosting a large traditional reception. You can still wear the wedding dress, walk down the aisle, exchange personalized vows, have beautiful flowers, professional photographs, cut your wedding cake, toast with champagne and celebrate with your family and closest friends. The difference is that the experience is intentionally small.

Instead of spending your wedding day trying to visit with a large room of guests, you can slow down and actually experience it.
