When most people picture a wedding, they imagine a grand affair with towering floral arrangements, designer gowns, and a price tag that could exceed an annual salary. But at N1 Estate, we believe weddings don’t have to be extravagant to be meaningful, memorable, and absolutely beautiful.
Bee and Aljon are the perfect example of this.
Their story began last December, when N1 Estate wanted to do something special for the holiday season and bless a couple with a complimentary Signature Elopement Package. Late one evening, Bee and Aljon received a message that would change their lives: they were our lucky winners! After popping a bottle of champagne to celebrate, they immediately began dreaming about how to make their wedding feel authentic, meaningful—and budget friendly.
And wow, did they succeed.
How They Kept Their Wedding Budget-Friendly
Of course, winning an elopement package helped save on big-ticket costs. (And if you’re not as lucky as Bee & Aljon, our Signature Elopement is $5,450—which includes exclusive venue access, a wedding officiant, professional photography, florals & décor, charcuterie board, wedding cake, and more.) But beyond that, Bee and Aljon found creative ways to keep their wedding affordable without compromising on charm.
Here’s how they did it:
Wedding Dress & Train: $0 - Bee spent two hours spinning the Temu wheels and earned enough credits to snag her dress and train for free! Her accessory belt was a sweet gift from a friend.
Bridesmaid Dress: $10 - A chic find from Urban Planet.
Groom’s Suit: Under $100 - Aljon scored a classic look from Zara.
Tattooed Rings: $250 - Instead of traditional rings, they chose tattooed bands—unique, permanent, and budget-conscious.
Hair & Makeup: $200 - Bee did it herself, using products she purchased along with a tutorial from a friend @natbaileybeauty
Champagne: $50 - A simple yet celebratory touch.
Grand Total: $600
And since they traveled from Vancouver with their four guests, the group stayed in a cozy local Airbnb—just $300 per person for three nights in Penticton.
The Beauty of Keeping It Simple
Bee and Aljon’s wedding day at N1 Estate was filled with love, laughter, and personality—proving that you don’t need a sky-high budget to have an unforgettable celebration. Their creativity, resourcefulness, and willingness to think outside the box turned their elopement into something truly special.
Affordable Okanagan Weddings Are Possible
If you’re planning your wedding, remember this: you don’t need to drain your savings, use your vacation fund, or put your dreams of a home on hold just to say “I do.” While luxury gowns, lavish décor, and all the extras can be nice, they’re not what makes a wedding memorable. What truly matters is the love you’re celebrating—and with a little creativity, you can have a stunning day without the financial stress.
At N1 Estate, we’re proud to offer couples the chance to have a beautiful, affordable Okanagan wedding that’s both meaningful and budget-friendly. Bee and Aljon’s story is just one of many that prove it can be done. We are so happy for them and their celebration will forever have a special place in our hearts.
